26 September 2019 @ 12:30 pm - 4:00 pm AEST
THANK YOU FOR BEING A VALUED CLIENT AND PARTNER TO ICOMM
As a thank you to our valued Clients and Partners, we would like to extend an invitation to The Commentators Club Luncheon to be entertained and support a great cause. We would be pleased if you would join the IComm team for an afternoon of great food, football, and laughs.
ABOUT THE COMMENTATORS CLUB
The Commentators Club luncheon was formed in 1997 by Australian Rules tragic Neville 'Nifty' James. The concept was simple. To gather a small group of friends and hold a long lunch in Melbourne and celebrate all things AFL the day before biggest sporting day of the year - the AFL Grand Final.
That’s right, to help kick off your grand final weekend, the Commentators Club is proud to announce we’ve got Brent ‘Boomer’ Harvey as our AFL great. We all know Boomer as the little champ who is the current AFL games record holder at 432. With Boomer it wasn’t just the longevity of his career … it was the quality.
COMEDY: TOM SIEGART aka The Suburban Footballer
He’s sold out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival but now ‘The Suburban Footballer’ will break through the 2019 Commentators Club luncheon banner and deliver a best on ground performance. The Suburban Footballer (AKA Tom Siegart) is a star comedian whose developed a cult following. His sketches about the goings on at local suburban football clubs are legendary.
MUSIC: MIKE ALLEN
Commentators Club regular Mike Allen is back again as our music man, entertaining us with covers of our favourite tunes. Producing awesome music for over 20 years now, Mike was a member of the all-conquering band Things of Stone & Wood – with numerous Top 40 hits and an ARIA award.
MYSTERY GUEST: TO BE REVEALED!
We are sure you will know our mystery AFL guest, and we know you will never guess who it is!
The Commentators Club is proud to announce the Diamond Valley Special Developmental School as our Charity Partner for this years event. DVSDS is a specialist school for autistic and disabled children which was chosen to run the unique horse riding program on site. The program is a unique, empowering and worthwhile program for the kids, and it is the only program like it in the southern hemisphere.
