The Jetstar Group, which has one of Asia Pacific’s largest low fares networks by revenue, has undergone rapid growth since it was established in 2004. As part of this growth Jetstar has expanded overseas, extending its team into new offices across the Asia Pacific region. To support this growth Jetstar sought a new communications solution that would offer better collaboration between its offices compared to its original PABX phone system.
IComm helped Jetstar to move from its PABX phone system to a new unified communications solution, with Lync and then more recently Skype for Business. Skype for Business was chosen because of its cost effectiveness in being rolled out across multiple international sites. Video conferencing technology was also integrated to work with the unified communications solution.
Skype for Business has successfully supported Jetstar in its growth into international markets. The solution has facilitated ease of collaboration and coordination across international sites. It also offers flexible ways of working for Jetstar employees who need to work while travelling.
