Mitel Voice First Application presents an innovative new user paradigm for video conferencing. The traditional barriers of simplicity and ease of use are broken through a solution that makes video as easy and robust as a phone call. Through the power of IP, video conferencing is made easy, allowing users to benefit from the added dimension of real-time video in the conference room or at the desktop.
The Voice First Application is enabled through the integration of the Mitel 3300 IP Communications Platform (ICP) with the Voice First Application Server. In the conference room, this would be accompanied by the Mitel 5310 IP Conference Unit and the VCON HD5000 Video Conference appliance. At the desktop, this is enabled through the Mitel 5220, 5212 or 5224 IP Phone and VCON vPoint HD Video Client. Through seamless hardware and software integration, Voice First delivers the industry's first truly converged voice and video communications solution. Using Voice First, a user simply places a normal voice call. If both users are video-enabled, an indicator on their IP phone flashes. Simply pressing this button automatically establishes an audio and videoconference link. Additionally, audio and video user controls such as transfer and impromptu conferencing remain on the phone. This solution introduces the user to a rich voice and video experience in a familiar environment, enabling a better way for businesses to communicate.
